To study the estrus cycle and the estrus behavior in the rabbit and also to compare individual and racial differences in response to estrogen in rabbits; to determine whether ovaries from one strain of mice can be transplanted successfully into another strain of mice, if the histocompatibility resistance can be reduced by the injection of lyophilized homogenized tissues; to study the progress of renal disorder in the A/Jax and dba strains of mice; to determine the effects of estrogen and testosterone on the estrus cycle of the mouse, three month old dba1 and dba2 females were used for the experiment; to determine strain differences in the length of long bones and cephalic indices of the mouse strains dba, Swiss, Balb/C, and C57BL/6.
